Project Rockstar 2009 Launches
As I sit here in my central Stockholm apartment, newly decorated with black oak furniture and chrome fittings, the last rays of the Swedish summer filtering through my window, I reflect on what brought me here.
Steve Jobs once spoke at Stanford University about connecting the dots. He said that sometimes the smallest of events, even those which we consider insignificant at the time, can eventually have huge impact on our lives.
I can trace back where I am now, which is a place I consider to be the happiest I’ve ever been, to a series of such events. Looking back, each of these dots was critical in making me the man I am today.
Starlight was one of last year’s Project Rockstar candidates. We got along so well that I introduced him to Eskay, a serial entrepreneur and client I had trained in Day Game several weeks prior to Rockstar.
Eskay and Starlight discovered common ideology in love, sex, romance and business. They got along so well that, together with Mr M, they took an infamous trip to Shanghai to party with some of China’s most influential businessmen and most beautiful women.
I was on tour in the USA at the time. On my return, Eskay introduced me to the founders of Spotify, the application currently changing the face of the music industry. He invited me to their launch party in Stockholm and gave me a couple of extra invites.
I invited Rokker, our Swedish based instructor and an old friend of his, Maximilian. The party was legendary. A few months later, I found out Maximilian had a spare room to rent in Stockholm. I decided to come visit and see what it would be like to live here.
Within a couple of days, I was in love. This was my favourite city in the world and I decided to call it my new home. The dots had connected.
Good luck to all of this year’s Rockstars. Work hard, be respectful, and remember this moment a few years from now when you are living the dreams you have right now. I’ll see you gentlemen in Stockholm.

THE ROCKSTARS FOR 2009

The wait is over.
Five of the six Rockstars have been chosen.
The sixth will be announced VERY soon on the Project Rockstar Blog.
These five men have been selected from hundreds of applicants for their integrity, openness, enthusiasm, potential and passion. Amongst them is the deputy head of the Canadian Green Party, a once game-less and near penniless student, an Indian entrepreneur who is behind a famous UK clothing label, a French life enthusiast and an Australian traveller.
These men come from many walks of life and are coming together to achieve their Supernova through Project Rockstar. Congratulations to all these guys – they deserve to be here.

CLAUDE GENEST (Canada)
Claude Genest, at 46, is the oldest Rockstar and hopes his enthusiasm will compensate his energy levels!
Claude brings to Project Rockstar a long history of traditional, failed, relationships and is sufficiently disillusioned with the state of affairs between men and women to cast aside his preconceptions and receive the combined wisdom of the world’s greatest connoisseurs in the realms of attraction, seduction and relationship management.
He is committed to thoroughly and completely enjoying the process of finding himself one great woman to settle down with and confesses to not being in any hurry to do so.
JOSHUA VOTAW (USA)
Josh Votaw spent most of his life in the midwest, living in a very religious household. Though preached self-confidence, he was also preached humility, solitude, and strict Southern Baptist upbringing. Transferring into public schools left him without a friend in the world, or a clue about the social matrix. Refusing to sell himself short by becoming low man on the social totem pole, but unable to insert himself near the top, he continued to languish in social isolation for many years.
In the process of waiting for his time in the social sun, Josh has worked hard to situate himself professionally and personally. Josh has used this time to truly “find himself,” traveling around the country over these last few years, living in: Boston, Philadelphia, San Juan, Columbus, and New York. This time alone has given him the depth of perspective necessary to understand his shortcoming, acknowledge his weakness, and the resolve to surmount all obstacles.
In short, Josh is ready to reach Supernova. And Project Rockstar will get him there.
ALEXANDRE FOURNEL (France)
Alexandre Fournel was born and raised in Toulouse (France) with the belief that innovation and differentiation from the crowd was something to repress. He had nonetheless never coped with that mindset, and had developed a taste for innovation and risk-taking. People would refer to him as an ‘easy-going dude’ and always passionate about something new. If you had a talk with Alex, you would certainly hear him say things like: “Be strong to be useful”, “Ideas are only multipliers of execution. Don’t talk, act !” and “I’m so awesome !” He is now in his mid-twenties, and ready to step up his life to go supernova.
AARON PANASBODI (Australia)
Aaron is a 20-something Asian Australian. Growing up in cosmopolitan Sydney and having lived in Asia, rapid change and growth have always been constants in his life. A combination of hard work and opportune timing lead Aaron to find himself studying and then living in the US, where he is currently building a fast-growing performance marketing company. He is currently living a 4 hour work week lifestyle and credits a lot of his business success to the relationships he has managed to cultivate through what he has learnt about social dynamics through Social Circle Mastery and the Community. The past couple of years has Aaron seen his success with women begin to take off, and with Project Rockstar he is committed to advancing everything in his life to an entirely new level.
